I have a really strong affinity for nature and the power of landscape and have tried to incorporate that feeling into my poetry. I was lucky enough to be able to travel to European country in the last few years and fell in love with the Islet of Skye from which resulted some poems. This traveling besides awakened my own ancestral ties to the country. Another poems move from early reactions to the earth about me. Several were written 'on demand' in school for Legion contests, which ready made me aware of war and conflicts between societies, which has shaped my thinking throughout the years. Still another poems reflect my need to do sense of not only myself, but the society I live in, act with and hear just about through the media and personal interaction. Not all the interactions and viewpoints are positive, but then once again that's wherever the conflicts in society arise. I have tried to lighten that by adding a few lighthearted or capricious poems.
