John O'Loughlin's 1st collection of poems dates from the early Seventies and reflects the transition from rural Surrey to urban London that he was living through at the time, to the extent that he eventually lost his taste for poetry and gravitated to literature and philosophy, some of which are paradoxically intimated of in the last two sections of this book.
